Course Overview
The SCA Barista Skills Professional course is the highest level of the Barista Skills module within the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Coffee Skills Program. Designed for experienced baristas, café managers, and coffee professionals, this program focuses on developing technical mastery, scientific understanding, and advanced bar management skills.
This course emphasizes not only advanced espresso preparation and brewing science but also customer service, café workflow, and signature beverage creation. It equips participants to work confidently at a professional level and prepares them for leadership roles within the coffee industry.

Course Details
The training integrates theory and practice with a strong emphasis on the science of espresso extraction. Participants will explore advanced brewing ratios, water chemistry, and extraction. This approach ensures a deeper understanding of how variables interact to influence flavor, strength, and quality.

- Day 1: Scientific Understanding of Espresso, Water Chemistry, Advanced Milk Techniques
- Day 2: Advanced Workflow, Multi-Beverage Preparation, Service and Café Management
- Day 3: Sensory Skills & Tasting, Equipment Maintenance, Signature Beverage Design
- Day 4: Practice, Assessment Preparation, Practical & Written Examination
