SCA Roasting – Intermediate Training

Course Overview

The SCA Roasting Skills Intermediate course is designed for coffee professionals who have foundational roasting knowledge and wish to advance their skills in roast profiling, analysis, and production consistency. This training provides participants with practical experience on professional roasting machines and theoretical understanding of how different variables influence coffee flavor, quality, and repeatability.

  • Roast profiling and recording using industry-standard protocols
  • Sensory analysis of roasted coffee linked to roast levels
  • Identifying and correcting roasting defects
  • Consistency and efficiency in production roasting

Course Details

  • Trainer: Mr. Natt Muangsiri – Authorized SCA Trainer (2018–2027), Q Arabica & Robusta Grader, Lecturer in Quality Evaluation & Post-Harvest Processing
  • Duration: 4 days (3 days of practical and theoretical training + 1 day for examinations)
  • Participants: Limited to 16–24 students
  • Fee: NRs 85,000/- per person
